# Event Details - **Event Name**: U of G Ridgetown Campus | Veterinary Technology Student - Industry Day - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 15 Jul, 2026 at 10:00 am – Wed, 15 Jul, 2026 at 04:00 pm - **Event Description**: Thank you for your interest in attending the UGRC 2026 Industry and Alternative Careers Fair on July 15th.About this EventPlease note that we are located at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus at 120 Main Street East in Ridgetown, Ontario (approximately 2 hours Southwest of Guelph).We are expecting approximately 60 students (junior and senior Veterinary Technology) and 20 staff. Our students are excited for this day, and we’ve let them know what to expect at a trade fair – free stuff and getting to know the people they will soon be interacting with within the clinic. In addition, to encourage them to be able to build this skill, students will have a “passport” to complete with a minimum number of representatives they need to interact with. We will provide you with what you need to help them complete their passport that day.Please complete registration for the event by July 6, 2026, to reserve your booth. Our proposed timeline is below. Times are subject to change. Industry Fair: Set Up: 10:00 am - 12:00 pmStudents attend Industry/Alternative Careers Fair: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pmTear Down: 3:30 pm - 4:00 pmHousekeeping:The event will take place in the Veterinary Technology Building (Building 13). Enter the door closest to the parking lot by the dog kennels, and someone will assist once inside. Parking on the day of the event will be free. The closest parking is P3 (Vet Tech Parking Lot). Please see our Campus map for reference. Door prize donations are appreciated and accepted on the day of the event to be awarded to students completing the passport assignment (please confirm if you plan to contribute a door prize when you complete your registration). Please note:We will be charging a small fee ($500) for any companies that would like to join us to secure your booth. With the proceeds from the event, we will use the money to cover the cost of food throughout the day's event and other event costs. After those costs are covered, we will plan to utilize the funds to help support the enrichment and further welfare needs for our sweet colony teaching animals in their housing needs and/or some desired teaching items from our "wish list" that will help us to continue to improve the learning experience for our students.
